Our organization relies and depends on parents to volunteer to coach. Coaches do not need to "know" hockey in order to coach, it is much more important to be enthusiastic, caring and patient. We will do our best to put you in a position to be a successful coach if you volunteer your time.
Remember it is the kid's game and we are the guests. Do not let the uniforms, referee's and parents on the sidelines fool you, this is just a game. The game is the best teacher. The coaches job is to set up an environment in which the kids can play safely and solve hockey problems rather than the coach solving behavior problems. Keep the kids active. Don't worry about setting up fancy "drills" or elaborate warm-ups. A handful of game-like activities repeated throughout the season should get you to game time every week.
If you are interested in coaching please download a coaches application from the following link and bring it with you to registrations.

Coaches' Code of Ethics
I hereby pledge to follow the Coaches' Code of Ethics:
- I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of a personal desire to win.
- I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development for the same age group.
- I will do my best to provide a safe playing situation for my players.
- I will do my best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players.
- I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players.
- I will be knowledgeable in the rules of the sport that I coach, and I will teach these rules to my players.
- I will use those coaching techniques appropriate for all of the skills that I teach.
- I will remember that I am a youth sports coach, and that the game is for children and not adults.
