FITCHBURG STREET HOCKEY LEAGUE

Chipmunk Division

In this division the focus is on learning the fundamentals of street hockey and having fun!

Typical ages are 4-6

Games are held on Tuesdays at 5:30 or 6:30 and Sundays at 12:00 or 1:00.

This division does not hold a separate practice. The first 15 minutes of the scheduled game is used for practice with the remaining 45 minutes used for 2 minute periods for the game.

Every child is able to play!

Players must wear required equipment found at the bottom of page.

Penguin Division

Typical ages are 7-9

This division focuses on learning the rules of street hockey and players are expected to follow with penalties included during games.

Games are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the possibility of Mondays (depending on how many teams).

Saturday games are held at 11:30, 12:30 or 1:30 Weekday games are held at 6:00 or 7:00.

Practices are held once a week, schedules are determined by each coach.

Players must wear required equipment found at the bottom of page.

Beaver Division

Typical ages are 10-12

In his division the children learn more rules of street hockey and are expected to follow with penalties included during games.

Games are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the possibility of Mondays (depending on how many teams).

Saturday games are held at 11:30, 12:30 or 1:30 Weekday games are held at 6:00 or 7:00.

Practices are held once a week, schedules are determined by each coach.

Players must wear required equipment found at the bottom of page.

Required equipment:

- Helmet with a face guard

- Protective gloves-street/dek/ice hockey type

- Shin guards - street/dek/ice hockey type (one piece that covers shin from knee to ankle)

- Elbow pads - street/dek/ice hockey type

- Street/dek/roller hockey stick (sticks with wooden blades are prohibited)

Optional but recommended equipment

Mouth guard - football type mouthpiece with strap

Protective cup - for both boys and girls
