Penguin Division
- Typical ages are
7-9
- This division focuses on learning the rules of
street hockey and players are expected to follow with
penalties included during games.
- Games are held on
Wednesdays and Saturdays with the possibility of Mondays
(depending on how many teams).
- Saturday games are held
at 11:00, 12:00 or 1:00 Weekday games are held at 6:00, 7:00
or 8:00
- Practices are held once a week, schedules are determined by
each coach.
- Players must wear required
equipment found at the bottom of page.
Required
equipment:
- Helmet with a face guard
- Protective gloves-street/dek/ice hockey type
- Shin
guards - street/dek/ice hockey type (one piece that covers
shin from knee to ankle)
- Elbow pads - street/dek/ice
hockey type
- Street/dek/roller hockey stick (sticks
with wooden blades are prohibited)
Optional
but recommended equipment:
- Mouth guard -
football type mouthpiece with strap
- Protective cup -
for both boys and girls
